Lisa Girard Appointed Executive Director of the Simcoe & District Chamber of Commerce
Renee VanKooten, President of the Simcoe & District Chamber of Commerce, announced today that Lisa Girard has been appointed as the Executive Director to the Chamber.
“I am delighted to welcome Lisa to the Chamber in this important leadership role. Lisa brings valuable experience in community engagement, programming and business development, along with a strong understanding of the people and organizations that make Norfolk County such a vibrant place to live, work and do business.”, stated VanKooten.
“Her previous work with Norfolk County Recreation, where she helped deliver programs and initiatives that brought residents of all ages together, and her more recent involvement with the Norfolk County Agricultural Society in business growth and community development, have provided her with a strong foundation in building relationships, creating opportunities and bringing people together.”, she added.
The Executive Director at the Chamber plays a vital role in representing the local business community, supporting members, building strong partnerships, and advancing opportunities for economic growth throughout Norfolk County. “We are confident Lisa’s experience, community connections and enthusiasm will be tremendous assets as the Chamber moves forward.”, said VanKooten
In accepting this role, Lisa noted, “I am excited and honoured to be stepping into the role of Executive Director. I look forward to continuing to build relationships, support our amazing local businesses, and work together to see our business community strive.” Girard begins her role on December 1st, 2026.
