Simcoe & District Chamber of Commerce – Canada Summer Job Placement Opportunity:

Summer Social Media Project Lead (Two Positions Available)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Lead the development of strategy, planning and execution of social media content for the next year involving Chamber members and their products.

Developing materials to assist in the promotion of the Chamber.

Setting up a contest engaging members on all Chamber social media platforms to kick off a year long social media campaign.

Create a timeline for the project.

Contact and coordinate with local businesses to set up videos at their establishments. Create a schedule for filming.

Write creative copy for videos.

Direct, shoot and edit social media videos.

Set up a schedule to release the videos throughout the year.

Under the direction of the Executive Director and Marketing & Communications Manager provide regular updates on the project and timelines.

Additional duties as assigned.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Must meet the requirements of the Canada Summer Job program.

May occasionally be required to work outside of normal office hours. Must be bondable.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

June 22 to August 14, 8 weeks – In office @ 10 Argyle St. Simcoe

WEEKLY SCHEDULE: 35 hours; Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

COMPENSATION: $17.60 per hour, payable bi-weekly
